Shirdi Sai Temple of Atlanta

Yesterday we visited the Shirdi Sai Temple of Atlanta. This temple is located at James Burgess Road Suwanee - around 45 miles towards north from downtown Atlanta.

When you enter the premises, the temple's size grabs your attention. It is big and beautiful. At the ground floor, an arrangement is done to keep the foot ware and to wash feet. The prasadalay (a place where the holy food is served) is also located at this floor. You can take the stairs to the sabhagriha (an open space in front of the deity) or you can go out and enter from the main entrance.

When you reach the next floor, you can see holy Hindu books arranged near the entrance. The arrangement for accepting donations is also made over here. A door will lead you to the sabhagriha. The sabhagriha is specious with line of windows to both its sides. A beautiful Shri Sai idol is placed over here. The rhythmic chant of Hindu mantras make the environment more tranquil.

It is a must-visit place for people in and around Atlanta. For more information please visit the temple website
